Sprint Club Bringing Boxing Community Together
From Coventry to New York City, BOXRAW Sprint Club is growing globally.
After its inception in the UK, we recently arrived in America as well, continuing to bring the boxing community together.
There’s nothing like being surrounded by other highly driven people who help motivate you even further to push past your limits.
Sprint Club originated from a training camp insight from pound-for-pound great and three-division world champion, Terence Crawford.
‘Bud’ showed members of the BOXRAW team his sprints routine in preparation for the historic undisputed fight against long-standing rival, Errol Spence Jr.
“Taking the sprints I did in camp with Bud Crawford, when he was training for the Errol Spence Jr fight and taking that to the boxing community has been good fun and great work,” stated Ben Amanna, BOXRAW Founder & CEO.
“It's nice to bring the community together for something which typically gets overlooked.
"When you're sprinting next to others, you naturally want to compete to push yourself even harder.”
While there’s the obvious element of hard work and pushing yourself, Sprint Club is about a lot more than this.
It’s a time for people of all fitness levels who enjoy boxing to come together in a friendly environment and enjoy themselves too; meeting new people and building relationships.
Sprint Club is open to absolutely everyone and it has gone from strength to strength as we move to new locations, with the community growing through each session.
Sprint Club Routine
- Full body stretch
- 1k warm-up run
- 12 x Sprints Sets
Sprints have three different check marks which the group will run to. These can be done as normal sprints, backwards sprints or squatted sprints. Once the selected marker is reached, the group will go into either shadow boxing or shoulder tap sparring for around 20 to 30 seconds. There are no breaks between the sets. The group then jogs back to the starting point and carries on to the next set of sprints.
- 1k cool down run
- Full body stretch
